I SHOULD BE THE CRYING [happy tears...] rawr
So this weekend, is going to be the big day, my milestone 21st Bday :D

My lovely cousin and wonderful comrades have been planning this outing for a while. [Twas supposed to be a surprise but it never really will be] And it's supposed to be good!

And then Jackie came along and proceeded to be the emo raincloud and rain on the parade.

Apparently Jackie feels "left out" because she has never gotten a birthday party in her life; That for every major holiday, she has never received anything from her parents/relatives. And that we should not be so excited for a birthday party in front of her because she is so "emotionally afflicted from never getting gifts because her parents are too poor". And thus, she is angry at everyone for planning a party to celebrate my life because she has never been honored.

Her parents are nice people. I cannot stress that enough. Just from spending a weekend with her family, I can tell that they love her very much. They are also very traditionally Chinese and thus don't think about giving away presents because it wasn't how they were brought up. I know, because my mother doesn't believe in presents either but plays along for the tradition.

And so this girl, one who has full scholarships, two healthy accessible loving doting parents, a wonderful older brother, shelter and many nice material things, is envious of everyone else, because she has never had someone treat to her to any gifts. That she isn't materialistic like all of us (and thus a better person/daughter/saint) because she buys expensive things with her own hard earned money versus we who buy it with our parents money. Oh and she has to help her parents pay their property taxes and if we were in her situation, we won't because we're not as "unspoiled" as she is.

Oh boo hoo. Cry yourself a river and drown in it.

Oh yeah, she apparently is quite angry at me for previously telling her not to buy an Itouch. She has been fixated on that for a while for whatever reason. A couple of months back, I talked her out of buying one because 1) She already has a laptop, internet, phone, and Ipod. An Itouch would be useless. 2) She is a student need to save as much money as possible and 3) I was being a good friend and was looking out for her. THAT'S WHAT GOOD FRIENDS DO RIGHT?

"How dare she. I am irritated when she told me that I shouldn't buy it because why shouldn't I? I don't get gifts from others so why can't I get it? Why can't I treat myself to a little something for the many years I've been deprived?! How dare she tell me I shouldn't buy it! If you guys understand my situation, and know about my un-wealthy parents you would know I'm right."

I need a headesk icon.

Thank you *hugs*

We'll figure out something to deal with her, maybe someone will uninvite her because I don't want her whining at my party :P
