So I've noticed that I've been getting quite a few friend requests as of late. I'm flattered because I really don't think I'm that interesting or have much to offer in the LJ world. I usually recognize people and add back, but with the number of spontaneous adds I'm getting lately, I'm going to enforce two rules:
For all friend requests, please drop me a line here. I don't add back at all if I don't know who you are/how you found me.
Also, I won't add back if your journal is entirely in a language I cannot read. Or...if you have no entries to read :x I'm sorry, I'm sure you are a wonderful person but how can I get to know you without posts?

条纹 336 Stripes Strips Stripes

Still trucking along, or trying to. It's been a relatively nice two weeks at work. I've been waiting for a Very Important Email and I've been on pins and needles for that.

Life is okay too, nothing to exciting. I made the mistake of drinking two pots of Morning Dew Green Tea last night and I was wired until 3am and I feel terrible today.

Also Jackie is still acting crazy but when is she not?

I am going to learn how to knit today because jfc I've been irritated at some of my crochet projects. I really want to achieve that cozy but supple texture/drape and I haven't been able to with my yarn+hook combinations.

That and I can't seem to find a striped scarf pattern like this for crochet and I absolutely need one in my life because stripes are my weakness.

This has been a useless entry.

I should be doing work right now, but I'm not and while I'm still stressed I can't bring myself to care too too much.

Employee of the Year Material right here. Your faves could never.

I found this pattern today while doing something not work related (honestly I didn't mean to go on Ravelry!) and it' so pretty. Sadly it's a knitting pattern, but I looked up some Fair Isle crochet techniques and I think I might be able to adapt it for a crochet pattern? Or I could just learn to knit. Haha. .___.

Work, is work. They keep on giving me work to do and it's frustrating because I don't know how to prioritize (because everything is "Important" fjsldf and it's stressing me to the point of daily tears. Desperately trying for a way out because I don't want to put my health (and mental sanity) on the line.

Comment to this post, and I will list seven things I want you to talk about. They might make sense or they might be totally random. Then post that list, with your commentary, to your journal. Other people can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.

Eyeshadow - I love pretty eyeshadow. I never wear it because I'm much too inept and lazy to put on makeup, but I like watching what others can do to highlight their eyes. Sometimes I find the designs ridiculous (Michelle Phan) but if handled well, it can be totally wearable while popping. I personally love looking at collections of eyeshadows, they are like smoky glittery pallettes!

Shield - I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN BY SHIELD? I'm going to interpret it as Nick Fury's S.H.I.E.L.D. I don't really follow the Marvel Universe that much (because it can be so confusing, but from what I have seen of SHIELD and Nick Fury, it's pretty awesome.

Rain - It's always raining in Seattle. It always rains in Portland too. I've grown up living with the rain so it's nothing special to me? I tend to not like it for the most part, since both Seattle and Portland are leafy, everything becomes gross and soggy after a good rain :( Summer showers are nice.

Dubstep - Not my favorite genre of music, I can take it in wee tiny doses, but tend to stray away from it because everything sounds about the same and it actually puts me to sleep. I kind of hate how it is constantly on the radio.

Bleach - I was briefly into the manga in high school. Back when reading translated manga was ~kewl~ and interjecting random Japanese words into normal conversation was done without any hints of irony. I kind of gave up after volume 15 because the boy I was borrowing it from started getting into another series (I believe he started collecting Naruto instead). I never attempted the anime because it was already a good 100 episodes in and I thought I had better things to. Like watch Hana Yori Dango and Nobuta wo Produce.

Nails - I find nail art beautiful. I don't paint my nails very often. There was a point last year where I was into painting my nails but my lazy side took over again. The longest design I ever had were the popular newspaper nails. Overall, I wish I took better care of my nails. I used to bite them out of nervous habit, but I have since stopped because the taste of excess skin cells/dirt/dust was kind of gross. Now I've taken to picking/peeling the skin around it instead. I should stop.

layout is fixed. it looks prettyful again. i also changed the pattern i was using.
this one is from colourlovers.

i spent a good 90 minutes tinkering around with tiny icons and css coding. this is pathetic.
but! if anyone ever wants to upload their own tiny icons, i found a good tutorial here

have another cute pixel because i'm spamming.
